The Qube is the main in-vehicle tracking device used in the Navman solution. It provides accurate vehicle data allowing users to make proactive decisions with real-time information. The Qube captures vehicle location, time and distance activity and automatically sends updates to DIRECTOR for recording and reporting along with vehicle speed, direction, kilometres travelled, time spent on site and ignition status.
The Qube can store up to 5,000 activity events and 600 geo-fences with individual speed zones. Two key standard features are stolen vehicle notification and harsh vehicle usage. The Qube is expandable to connect with other devices for more in-depth reporting.
Within a vehicle, the Qube is the primary hardware device recording vehicle information and streaming it back to DIRECTOR at regular intervals. It records ignition status, location, direction, speed with time and date stamp, as well as driver behaviour aspects for each trip, particularly harsh braking, acceleration, and cornering.
All information from the Qube sent to DIRECTOR becomes an excellent source of historical data. Second by second, High Definition data of the vehicle’s activity becomes a powerful tool for crash reconstruction.
Tracking employees through dangerous environments
To help our client support its drivers and greater operation, geo-fences can be created within DIRECTOR via the mapping tool. Specific areas of interest can be highlighted with alerts sent back to the office whenever the vehicle enters or exits the area. Specific conditions can be set around each geo-fenced area, at a per vehicle level if required. Standard alerts include entry, exit, excessive time without moving, over speeding and deviation from approved route.
